The Honda CD70 is one of the most iconic and long-lasting commuter motorcycles in Pakistan, produced by Atlas Honda under license. Originally derived from the “Honda 70" lineup, it was rebadged in 1984 and continues to be a top seller due to its reliability, low maintenance cost, and excellent fuel economy. 

Powering the CD70 is a 72 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with Overhead Camshaft (OHC) configuration. The bore and stroke measure 47.0 × 41.4 mm.The latest models typically adopt a carbureted fueling system, and the ignition system is CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition). 

Transmission is via a 4-speed constant mesh gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch.Starting is via kick start (no electric start). 

The CD70’s chassis is a backbone frame, and suspension is handled via telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is by drum brakes both front and rear. 

In terms of dimensions, typical values are about 1897 × 751 × 1014 mm (L × W × H) with a wheelbase of ~1285 mm and ground clearance ~136 mm. Dry weight is approximately 82 kg.Fuel tank capacity is ~8.5 litres with a 1 litre reserve.Fuel efficiency is a major selling point — many riders report between 50 to 60+ km per litre depending on conditions and maintenance. 

Over time, the CD70 has seen cosmetic tweaks (stickers, color options, lighter parts) to stay current, but its mechanical core remains proven and dependable.
